Safe DeliveryViru Care is a risk management framework to prevent avoidable maternal death and complications, by seamless integration of community, public health institutions, tertiary care specialists and district administration.
Viru Care risk management framework is introduced to identify and track the High Risk Mothers, who need Intensive monitoring and super Specialty medical care, using the the data obtained through continuous Monitoring, Counselling, Medical care, Maternal health condition, Nutrition status of the pregnant women in the district. The system uses Artificial Intelligence, Counselling through online telephony, Continuous monitoring mechanism among others to control the maternal mortality and to improve the maternal health.

The system allows Village Health Nurses and Staff Nurses at the Primary Health Care Centers to categorize high riskiness of AN mothers by identifying 50+ high risk factors. High Risk factors includes General Illness, Complications during Past Pregnancy, Current Pregnancy
This will result in comprehensive categorization of risk among pregnant women enabling targeted primary care intervention.
Details of AN Visits, Delivery outcome, PN Visits with data analytics supported all-encompassing case records.
The patient modules will include data on maternal health, diet, socio-economic factors, family planning interventions and socio-cultural practice.
A dedicated control room has been set for followup counselling and tracking for Maternal care. Web based Cloud Telephony System that supports call recording and monitoring features is available.

Upon Registration of a new mother at the PICME system, Viru Care
tracks the health
performance of the mother from 12th week before pregnancy to the 6
